EDGE Sunday School 

There is a class for you!

We host EDGE Sunday School classes for every age, nursery to senior, and every level of your walk with Christ. Read descriptions below and join a class today! The classes meet every Sunday from 9:00am to 9:50am, leaving us enough time to get ready for worship at 10:10am.   • CORNERSTONE: The class name is taken from Psalm 118:22 NKJV: “The stone the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” This class consists of adult women, but men are certainly welcome and also young adults.
  • EACH ONE, TEACH ONE : The class name is taken from Matthew 28:19 NKJV: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.”  This class consists of adult men, women and couples, but all are welcome.
  • SANCTUARY:  This class consists of adult men and women—–**
  • THE OPEN DOOR: The class name is taken from Revelation 3:8a NKJV: “I know your works.  See, I have set before you an open door and no one can shut it.” This class also consists of adult men, women and couples. The “door is open” to anyone who wants to join.
  • Jesus’ Jewels: Boys and Girls ages Kindergarten-2nd grade
  • Mighty Girls of God: Girls – 3rd grade through 8th grade
  • God’z Boyz : Boys – 3rd grade through 8th grade
  • Teenagers: Boys and girls from 9th through 12th grade
  • FIGHT: An all men’s Bible study consisting of young adult and adult men where men can come “pull the band-aid off and bleed…” to become the spiritual leaders in our lives, homes and communities that God has called us to be.
  • GAPP (Growing with Application, Prayer and Praise): This started off as the Young Adult class 18-30, though all are welcome because there are members in their 40s.
  • SATISFIED SAINTS: This class started off as a class for single and divorced men and women and now we also have married members.  We don’t turn anyone away! We support one another no matter what we are going through in this life.

Vacation Bible School

Mission: To build a foundation in Christ order to fulfill the Great Commission, being disciples that make disciples, teaching our youth through seniors to identify and build their relationship with Jesus Christ. 

Typically held within the first few weeks of school being dismissed, we start students at 1st G and the community with an opportunity to go into their summer break uplifted and prepared with Bible knowledge to guide them through out of school time. Contact VBS@1stGChurch.org for more information.
